We’re excited to introduce a new feature that will help you stay organized and better manage your Pronto communication—the ability to mark messages as unread! This feature allows you to easily flag messages you'd like to revisit later, ensuring no question or comment gets overlooked.
Key Features of the “Mark as Unread” Option:
Stay Organized: If you receive a late night message but don’t have time to respond immediately, you can now mark it as unread. This will allow you to come back to it later when you have more time to provide a thoughtful response.
Recents Section: When a message is marked as unread, it will reappear in the Recents section of your Pronto drawer. This makes it easy to quickly locate messages you’ve flagged for later attention.
Persistent Until Read: The message will remain in the Recents section until you read it again or manually mark it as read. This helps ensure you don’t miss a thing!
How It Works:
Mark a Message as Unread: To mark a message as unread, simply click the three dots next to your group or direct message title and find the “Mark as Unread” option from the message menu. You can also find this directly inside your group or direct message, and find the group settings in the right hand corner of the screen (the four squares next to the video icon). This will move the message to the Recents section, where it will remain until you’re ready to give it attention.
Access Recents: Whenever you return to your Pronto drawer, any messages you’ve marked as unread will be listed under the Recents tab. You can easily spot them for follow-up.
Mark as Read: Once you’ve reviewed the message and responded, you can manually mark it as read, or the message will automatically be considered read when you open and review it.
Why This Feature is Useful:
For instructors, managing time and staying on top of student communications is crucial. By marking messages as unread, you can ensure that important questions or requests don’t get lost in the shuffle. This feature is especially useful for busy instructors who might not always be able to respond immediately but want to ensure they can return to messages when they’re ready.
Additional Benefits:
No more lost messages: Messages marked as unread will stay visible in your Recents section until addressed, so you can be sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Flexible workflow: You’re in control of when to mark a message as read or unread, giving you the flexibility to prioritize your time.
Improved efficiency: Manage multiple conversations more effectively by flagging those that need follow-up.
We hope this new feature makes it easier for instructors to manage their inbox and prioritize responses to student questions. As always, we welcome your feedback as we continue to improve Pronto to meet your needs.
