Brilliance often hides in brevity โ€” and sometimes, in the perfect emoji.
Weโ€™re excited to roll out one of our most requested features: an expanded emoji catalog for message reactions!

Until now, you were limited to six classics (๐Ÿ‘๏ธ ๐Ÿ‘Ž๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜‚ โค๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜ข ๐Ÿ˜ฎ). With this update, you can respond with nearly any emoji your device supports โ€” because sometimes only ๐Ÿ’ฏ or ๐Ÿ˜ณ will do!

Reactions Shortcut Bar

The new reaction shortcut bar continues to include the standard six emojis on the left, and then up to six of the most recently used emoji reactions on the right. In addition, there is a plus button on the right that will launch the Emoji Picker to allow the user to select a different emoji

Searching and Selecting

The Pronto Emoji picker is completely unique to Pronto. That means your recently used, or preferred emoji will only apply to those you utilize with the Pronto app and will not cross over from your other apps.

Since thereโ€™s no universal standard for emoji search terms, weโ€™ve followed the most common naming conventions to help you quickly find the right emoji for any moment.

Pronto also lets you choose your preferred skin tone for supported emojis โ€” from the default yellow to five additional options โ€” so your messages can feel a little more like you. ๐Ÿ‘๏ธŽ, ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป, ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ, ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ, ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ, ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ

Pronto will keep track of your declared preferences and carry them across mobile and web applications.

Limits to Consider

While we have designed this to be very flexible, and fun, there are a few limitations.

  • Each message may have a maximum of 30 unique emojis. When this limit is exceeded, the user will receive an error message. Note that user can continue to react on the existing 30 emojis, but new emojis cannot be added.

  • Each user may have a maximum of 10 reactions on an individual message. When this limit is exceeded, the user will receive an error message.

When those limits are reached, a pop up will appear to inform the user of as much.

Additionally, emoji will appear according to the device type and level of support for emoji the device offers. This means android users will see all emoji as they appear in the android catalog, and the same is true of iOS, and PC users. If the device does not support the rendering of a particular emoji, it simply will not attempt to display it.
