How do I add people from multiple existing groups into one group?

Group Cloning or Group Merging is the process of creating a new group and adding users from other existing groups.

You can start by creating a new group and then adding people from any other group by using the Group filter. If you already have a group created, the Group Setting option can be used that same way. Once everyone is added to the new main group the other groups can remain as is or can be removed by deleting the groups.

  • Step 1. From the Actions Menu choose Create Group.

  • Step 2. Enter the Name for the Group.

  • Step 3. Choose the Group Category.

  • Step 4. Choose the Add People option.

  • Step 5. From the Filter drop-down list, choose Group, then select the group you want to add users from.

  • Step 6. Select all the users you want to add to the group, and choose the Add option. To add the select users to the group.

  • Step 7. Repeat steps 4, 5, and 6 to add additional people from a different group. Repeat as many times as need until everyone you want has been added to this group.

  • Step 8. Choose the Create Group option to complete the process and create a group with all the users.

Using the Group Setting in an Existing Group

  • Step 1. Choose the Group that you want to add users to.

  • Step 2. Choose the Group Setting option.

  • Step 3. Switch to the People tab.

  • Step 4. Choose the Add Person option.

  • Step 5. From the Filter drop-down list, choose Group, then select the group you want to add users from.

  • Step 6. Select all the users you want to add to the group, and choose the Add option. To add the select users to the group.

  • Step 8. Close the Group Setting window to return back to the group chat panel.
