Pronto can be accessed within Canvas in two areas:

  1. At the Course level in the Course Tools list/menu, or
  2. Via the Canvas global navigation

Accessing Pronto at the Course Level

If your institution's Canvas administrator has installed Pronto at the sub-account level, you can access Pronto via the Course Tools list/menu on each course that is using Pronto. 

First, click on the Course in your Canvas Dashboard:

Next, find Pronto in the list of Course Tools:

And... now you can chat and collaborate with students, faculty, and others in real-time right inside of Canvas!

Accessing Pronto via the Canvas Global Navigation

If your institution's Canvas administrator has installed Pronto institution-wide, you will see a Pronto icon in the Canvas global navigation area that is pinned to the left-hand side of the page:

Click on the Pronto "P" icon and Pronto will load right inside of Canvas with the Pronto group chat and direct messages drawer/list visible:
