Threaded Discussions refer to a series of messages that are grouped together pertaining to a single topic. As the chat history panel begins to fill with different messages you have the ability to reply to any post allowing you to have a threaded discussion within the Chat panel. A threaded discussion can at any time display the entire message history, using the Thread panel, while also continuing to display intime with the rest of the chat history. In this matter threaded discussions are never lost with the continuation of other messages and topics.

When you see a message, even your own, you can simply reply to that post to instantly create a threaded discussion. Anyone can choose to reply to any message within the thread or they can choose the View Thread option and reply at the bottom. In the main chat history panel, each thread will be linked with a line from one profile photo to another showing that the replies are all part of the same continuous threaded discussion.

Continuous threaded discussion.

As messages continue to be added to the main chat history the threaded discussion can still continue. The thread line between one profile photo to another will display continued using dots rather than a solid line showing there are other messages in between. When the discussion is resumed, by a new reply or addition to the Thread panel, the original topic message will be referenced followed by any new additions to the thread. In this matter the discussion can continue to bunny hop intime throughout the chat history as needed. This can be useful as you can always see new messages in order and inline with threaded replies while still being able to keep the discussion thread together.
